About us

Julie Patton has always had a passion for ceramics, she trained at Reigate School of Art and Design as an illustrator. She spent many years doing pottery evening classes before going on to do a City and guild course in ceramics at Brinsbury College.

Julie set up her own ceramics studio in 2001 producing many varied works, many of which you can see on this web site.

Julie's inspiration for her work has come from many varied sources, starting with the ornate paintings of Gustav Klimt.
Julie's work is mainly decorative, she uses white earthenware clay on to which is painted a wax resist and then coloured slips are applied and covered with transparent glaze.

Working from her studio at home Julie welcomes enquiries to visit her and accepts commissions.
